Pedestrian killed in South San Francisco hit-and-run SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) -- A pedestrian was struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver early Wednesday morning in South San Francisco, SSFPD reported. Police said the victim was trying to walk across southbound lanes of El Camino Real.Police responded to the call just after 1 a.m. on the 1500 block of El Camino Real. The driver fled and the victim was pronounced dead at the scene, according to South San Francisco police. Child dies after being attacked by a dog in Frederick Co. A 2-year-old boy is dead after being attacked by a dog in Frederick County, Maryland, on Tuesday evening.The boy had played with the dog all day on Tuesday in Brunswick, Maryland, but as he and his family were leaving a relative’s home, the dog attacked him, police told WTOP.The dog is a pit bull and mastiff mix, and is now being held in quarantine.More Frederick County NewsMore Local NewsWhen police arrived at the home in the 400 block of West B Street at around 5:15 p.m., they found the boy suffering from a dog bite. Police have said he won’t be identified due to his age and out of respect for the family.An investigation is underway. So far, no charges have been filed, police said.Source

(KDVR) — Police in Loveland are looking to identify a suspect who was caught on camera throwing a rock through a Dutch Bros Coffee shop and then breaking in. According to the Loveland Police Department, on Monday at 2 a.m., the person in the video can be seen throwing a large rock through a window. The man then unlocks the back door and walks into the shop.LPD said the suspect allegedly stole a safe and all the contents inside. LPD acknowledged that the man is wearing a mask, but they hope that the clear video and photo will help identify him. IRS extends deadline for people in storm-impacted areas in several states The Internal Revenue Service announced that they are extending the tax-filing deadlines for Americans affected by storms and tornadoes that devastated several states last week.Arkansas and Mississippi residents now have until July 31 to file individual and business tax returns. Parts of Alabama, Georgia and California will have until Oct. 16 to file their taxes.The IRS said they’re expecting as many as 168 million individual tax returns this year.The full list of those eligible for Tax Relief in Disaster Situations can be found here. If you don’t live in a storm-impacted area but would also like to file for an extension, you can do so by filling out Form 4868.The standard deadline for most Americans to file taxes is April 18.
