ST. LOUIS - The St. Louis Blues are losing a big part of the family. Darren Pang, a longtime color commentator for St. Louis Blues broadcasts on Bally Sports Midwest, will join the Chicago Blackhawks broadcast team next season. After 14 years in St. Louis, including countless "Holy Jumpin'!" calls and a 2019 Stanley Cup ride, Pang is finalizing a contract to join the rival Blackhawks, the same team that helped him burst onto the NHL scene as a goaltender decades ago. Revisting Mike Shildt’s comments on his Cardinals departure Pang confirmed his departure Thursday with a heartfelt letter to St. Louis Blues fans and staff. "I'll forever be indebted for my time with the Blues and Bally Sports Midwest. Thank you for everything," he says in the letter. Pang used the letter to reflect on his journey in St. Louis, which started with a phone call in 2009 around an Arizona golf trip. "It didn't seem seem like a round of golf that would shape my future with another organization, but it did...

(Photo courtesy: iStock/Getty Images)MISSOURI (KSNF/KODE) — Many people associate tunnels with vehicle traffic, but the longest underground trail in the Show-Me State is actually associated with trains. The Vale Tunnel in Kansas City served the Missouri Central Railroad, which carried passengers across the state, from Saint Louis to Kansas City, and back again, since it first opened in 1904.The 441ft long tunnel travels under Bannister Road — one of the busier east-west routes in the Kansas City Metro. Over the years, this rails-to-trails tunnel has had many different names, including the Vale Tunnel, the CRI-and-P Tunnel, and the Valley of Vale Tunnel. The underground section of this railway saw its last train pass through in 1980, shortly after the Rock Island Railroad declared bankruptcy. That's when the tunnel and the rail line traversing the tunnel were left abandoned.| You’ll Spend Half A Day Traveling This Missouri Highway >After several decades of abandonment, leading to v...

A statewide rebate program for Colorado residents looking to buy electric bikes will launch this summer, one the largest of its kind in the nation, state officials announced Thursday. With funding from the Air Quality Improvement Investments program, which the state legislature passed last year, the Colorado Energy Office set aside $6.6 million for the rebates, Ari Rosenblum, a spokesperson for the office, said in a release. Not only will greater access to e-bikes expand transportation options for Coloradans but it will also reduce air pollution. Collared black bear tracked to Leo Carrillo Beach, where paw prints found in sand

A black bear at the beach? That’s what National Park Service officials said happened with a collared black bear recently.BB-12, a 3-to-4-year-old male bear captured and collared on April 23, was tracked by GPS and bear paw prints were seen near Leo Carrillo State Beach, officials said. “Have you ever seen a black bear take a midnight stroll along the beach? We haven’t either but we know that it happened recently and at least twice in Malibu,” Santa Monica Mountain National Recreation Area officials wrote on Facebook. “Beach life seemingly did not suit Santa Monica Mountain’s erstwhile resident black bear, BB-12, however.”Since being collared, BB-12 apparently has also crossed the 101, 23 and 118 freeways, and is currently roaming the northern part of the Santa Susana Mountains, officials said. His capture was the first time biologists caught and radio collared a bear in the Santa Monica Mountains. The nearest population of black bears can be found in the Santa Susana Mountains north ...

El Niño has arrived. The Climate Prediction Center announced Thursday that El Niño conditions were present and expected to grow stronger in the coming months. Sponsored ContentTHC detox involves the elimination of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), the primary psychoactive compound in marijuana, from the body. THC can linger in the system for weeks, posing challenges for passing drug tests or mitigating the effects of prolonged marijuana use. To cleanse the body of THC and its byproducts effectively, a combination of dietary changes, exercise, and herbal supplements is recommended. These methods enhance the body’s natural detoxification processes, expediting THC elimination. Adequate hydration, avoidance of high-fat foods and alcohol, and regular exercise can also aid in flushing out THC.
